Woman drug peddler held with cannabis at Jammu Tawi Rly Station

Tawi, Apr 18: The Police team have arrested one woman drug peddler with contraband of cannabis from Jammu Tawi Railway Station, said police on Tuesday.

Police said police team led by Station House Officer, Inspector Rohit Dev Singh recovered three-Kg of Ganja (cannabis) from the possession of a lady namely Mahatrin Bai, 65, resident of Amandulla Tehsil Shakti, Chhattisgarh who was moving suspiciously at Railway Station Jammu.

“She was coming from Chhattisgarh to Jammu by train,” said police.

A case under relevant sections has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in the illegal trade.
