Public Vigilance Cell (PVC), a body of volunteers to assert against the wide spread corruption and inefficiency in the public office today cautions the Administrations of Jammu University and Cluster University to make their house in order by implementing the students and academic friendly functioning in holistic and transparent manner to achieve the set goals these institutions are made for.

Expressing serious concern over the resentment among the students, malfunctioning and favouritism in appointments as have been reported in the local media and feedback collected by PVC members from the genuine stakeholders, PVC Patron, Prof. SK Bhalla today sent separate communications via SMS to the Prof. Manoj K Dhar, the Vice Chancellors of Jammu University (Cell Phone: 9419182766) and to Prof Ms Bhasin, the Vice Chancellor of Cluster University, Jammu (Cell Phone: 9419181423) apprising them of the serious issues detrimental to the interests of academics and students.

Prof. Bhalla told Northlines that the Jammu University is in a thick of alleged anomalous appointments, inter-group conflicts and unfriendly for student community while the Cluster University is victim of academic inertia as the issues of staff, poor infrastructure and opaqueness in working.

Prof Bhalla further alleged that the two Deans appointed in Cluster University against the norms as their appointments were facilitated by a former Commissioner Secretary, State Higher Department and one of them is a close kin of a union minister.
