Jammu Tawi, July 31: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu today expressed solidarity with the Samba Bar Association in their protest against the reported misconduct of SDM Ghagwal holding the charge of Sub-Registrar Ghagwal. Bar strongly condemned the cocking of the gun by the PSO, as available on social media, and demanded urgent action against the SDM and the high-handed PSO.
The members were unanimous that advocates, while performing their professional obligations, must be respected and treated with dignity. The advocates are always upfront in seeking justice for the aggrieved masses and therefore have to assert on the law and the facts. The members urged the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to ensure that the grievances of the advocates are redressed at its inception and at the earliest. The members expressed hope that such like situations are not repeated in future and that the Sub-Registrars across the province are sensitized to ensure cordiality for the overall functioning.
