I am not a think tank but simply a person who would occasionally highlight social issues through the medium of your esteemed daily newspaper for the people of Union Territory of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.
It is unfortunate to write down the facts and figure of our Front line Warrior Doctors especially in a time when world is facing invisible enemy in the form of Covid-19.Even when our scientific community bow down their knees although struggling with using die hard effort to control the spread of Noval Cornavirus through out the length and breadth of the Globe.
Although vaccine for this pandemic disease is on its final stage when globally death toll reached more then 6.50 lakh .But there is some careless part played by the Front Line Warrior (Doctors ) which is noteworthy to mention here in this letter .A patient having MRD No.997531 was admitted in GMC Jammu referred by GMC Doda on June 21,2020 where it was diagnosed that the patient was suffering from Haemorrhage Strok.
A CT(Computerised Tomography ) Scan was taken by Radiologist Dr Manmohar Raja Rao CH MBBS,DMRD,DNB having his Reg No 77210 where his observations was that the patient has large Parenchymal Haematoma measuring 9cm×6cm with associated oedema is noted in the right capsuloganglionic and thalamic region.
Beside intraventricular extension of the huge bleed is noted with effacement of the right lateral ventricle and a left sided mid line shift 4.5cm.Huge bleed noted in middle Cerebellar panduncle in the CT Scane of patient having ID 540803.The patient is monitored for continue 10 days by both junior doctors and by daily round of senior most doctors in GMC Emergency Hall.It is pertinent to mentioned here that senior doctor in written declared that there is 98% of morality of the patient and only 2% survival chance in file of the patient having MRD No 997531.
The patient who was struggling between life and death and who remained on Ventilator for continue 10 days in GMC Emergency Hall was discharged on July 1,2020 on the will of the patient's son and shifted to Military Hospital Udampur where the patient died on 10pm on July 1,2020.
On the very next day the doctor of MH Hospital reported the patient died due to Covid -19 without consulting paitient file prepared in GMC Jammu.Beside it is the duty of concerned hospital to perform last rites and disposed of the dead body.Why MH Hospital Udhampur hand over dead body to family member for last rites ?Why authirty not act on Disaster Management Act 2005 provision ?Then the question arise who is fool and true either GMC Jammu's doctor or MH Udhampur?.Can anyone who died by some chronic disease in hospital will be declared Covid-19 patient ?If the Govt policy is social distancing and not social gathering ,then what is the function of Computerised Tomography Scaning?98% death due to Haemorrhage Strok and 2% surving as prescribed by Senior most doctors ofGMC Jammu for the said patient.
Can any one believe that 2%survival of the patient is converted into death by Covid-19? I requested to the Government that inquest inquiry into the matter should be taken on most humanitarian ground so that our doctor should learn how to declare death of a patients especially who are admitted in the hospitals.
It is also pertinent to mention here that all attandants of the patient who were remained with him day and night for continue 10 days were reported Covid-19 negative. It means that Medical Science is not a perfect science .False and fake reporting will add frustration, social disintegration, social fragmentation even in the blood relationship.
Last but not least our doctor should not remain careless in this crucial time period so that in future our trust should be remain praiseworthy on our doctors, because we consider doctor next to God.If our doctors remain careless than who will trust on them?
