NC-Congress to give joint fight to ‘Anti-Kashmir Govt' in Assembly

Jammu Tawi, January 1: Congress Legislative leader Nawang Rigzin Jora Leader of Congress party in the Legislative Assembly Nawang Rigzin Jora Sunday said they are forming a joint strategy with Conference (NC) to corner government over some sensitive controversial issues.

Jora said there are some differences in between Congress and NC, on some issues, but both the parties' are holding a meet to form joint strategy as they won't let government to sit-in peace throughout the session.

“The PDP is gradually helping BJP to implement the RSS agenda in the state. We won't let it happen. Every attempt is being made to erode Article 370. We will fight it out on the floor of assembly,” he said.

The senior Congress leader said all the anti-Kashmir ploys of PDP-BJP Govt will be resisted tooth and nail. He said the Mehbooba Mufti led government is neither in the Secretariat nor not on the ground.

“It is the same Mehbooba who would come on streets with a lantern in hand during her opposition days to protest against erratic power supply. Now the whole valley is plunged into darkness, but Mehbooba has no answer to it,” said Jora.

He said the other issues over which the government will be held responsible is over the PM Narendra Modi's Rs 80,000 crore economic package to Kashmir. “Where is the money,” he questioned.

He ruled out allegations that Congress ever favoured to provide domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees. “It is a plan of RSS and a step towards eroding article 370,” he said.

He said Congress when in the power in the state had sought economic packages for WPRs and in the central government and not any certificates. “We won't allow WPRs given any certificates. They can't be state subjects of J&K,” he said.
