Admit provisionally the unsuccessful candidates to next class: DSE to JKBOSE affiliated Schools

Tawi, July 15: Director, School , Jammu has directed all the schools not to deny provisional admission to the next higher class to all those candidates who are declared unsuccessful (failed/re-appear) in their annual result 2023.

Taking cognizance of the complaint that many schools affiliated to J&K Board of School Education have been denying provisional admission, as mandated by the government order 119/Edu of 2017 dated 15.03.2017, to the next higher class to the candidates who are declared failed or have to reappear in one or more subject in the J&K Board's annual result 2023. The provision, as reported, provides a fair opportunity for unsuccessful candidates to save their academic year and get enrolled and continue their studies in the higher class and simultaneously take and clear the next available Annual (Pvt)/Biannual examination to get at par.

Director, School Education has directed all the Chief Education Officers to ensure that the JKBOSE-affiliated schools shall allow such students provisionally to continue their studies in the next higher class till the Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual Examination Results of 2023 are declared.

The notification DSEJ/Coord/2023/20080 dated 14.07.2023, further said that, if the provisionally admitted candidates, after Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual Examination Results are declared fail in one or more subjects, their provisional admission shall be automatically stands cancelled and the cases of only those shall be considered who will be declared successful in all the five compulsory subjects.
