SRINAGAR: As many as 2,845 Policemen from Jammu and Kashmir Police have been granted out of turn promotions for their excellent performance on operational front and other fields.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who also holds Home portfolio, while replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly, today said the out of turn promotion is granted to such police personnel who have shown exceptional performance consistently in counter-insurgency operations.
“2,845 police personnel have so far been granted out of turn promotions for their excellent performance on operational front and other fields,” the reply said.
However, the names of the personnel promoted were not disclosed in view of security implications, the reply said.
