Stocking of essential commodities reviewed

Secretary, Affairs and , Rigzian Sampheal today reviewed the stocking of essential commodities in Ladakh region here at meeting of officers of Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution and the officers of the Ladakh Affairs Department.
The meeting was informed that there is a sufficient stock of essential items like- Rice, Wheat, K.oil, Diesel, Petrol, Atta, Sugar etc. available in both the Districts of Ladakh Region.
The representative of the F&S Department informed the chair that the full thirteen-month (2018-19) requirement of 85105.95 Qtls of Rice and 46417.44 Qtls. of wheat/Atta, 2074.29 Qtls. of sugar and 1798 Kls of Kerosene is available in Leh district for further distribution through local retail dealers.
Similarly, in District full lot of 75420.78 Qtls. of rice, 54209.72 Qtls of wheat/atta and 4138 qtls. of sugar, has been transported/dumped in the district, the meeting was told.
