On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad, a mathematical quiz competition under BetiBachaoBetiPadhao on National Mathematics day was organized in Himalayan Education Mission school Rajouri.
The quiz competition as organised by Department of Social Welfare Rajouri in collaboration with Himalayan Education Mission Society.
The Mathematics day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situation and also to create interest in students studying the Mathematics.
The quiz was conducted in a very interactive way and the teams participated with great enthusiasm. They skillfully answered the questions asked. Though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing and exciting.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is a part of various activities planned under BetiBachao,Beti Padhao campaign.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of DSWO Rajouri Monday Naseeb and Bilal Mir Assistant Director Planning(Nodal officer BetiBacho ,BetiPadhao). Student who are present on the occasion were made aware about the impact of decline in sex ratio, gender based inequalities and about the crimes made against women at home or at work place. The students were advised to spread the message of saving girl child and educating girl child. Later, the winner teams were also felicitated.
Bilal Mir Assistant Director Planning, Neha Suri, SupriyaSasan, Staff of HEM School and members of OSC Rajouri were present on the occasion.
