Saif Ali Khan was known to be unconventional but sometimes displayed ‘feudal' behaviour with Soha's partners
In a recent interaction, actress Soha Ali Khan opened up about her relationship with brother and fellow actor Saif Ali Khan. She described Saif as a non-traditional elder sibling who provided support and advice to her over the years. However, she also mentioned that on occasions when she introduced potential partners to him, Saif would exhibit certain ‘feudal instincts' coming from taking on a protective role for his younger sister.
Soha stated that as the younger one, she naturally followed rules more closely as Saif was a rebel during their childhood and adolescence. This left an impression on their parents. When talking about her husband Kunal Kemmu's first meeting with Saif, Soha said Saif appreciated Kunal's sincerity and down-to-earth nature.
She recalled Saif inspecting Kunal's physique in a lighthearted manner, pleased with his fit appearance. Soha values that Kunal is comfortable being himself around anyone, without putting up false airs. This trait resonated well with both her and her family.
In the past, Kunal had admitted feeling intimidated on first meeting Soha's legendary actress-mother Sharmila Tagore due to her prestigious family background. However, he was at ease with Saif.
The actress described navigating her relationship with her iconic brother over the years as a refreshing dynamic, although his protective instincts would occasionally surface when she introduced him to potential partners when younger.
