J&K reports 230 fresh cases

Tawi, Feb 16: Jammu and Wednesday reported 230 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 3,683 while no death was reported in the last 24 hours in the UT.

With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,745 and 230 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 451,560.

Among 230 new cases, 104 belong to Kashmir division while as 126 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,582 including 282,098 recoveries and 2,422 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 164,978 including 161,034 recoveries and 2,323 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,683 including 2,062 from Kashmir division and 1,621 from Jammu division.

With 827 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 443,132 which is 98.13 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 50 from Srinagar, 08 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 18 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 02 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 01 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 126 from Jammu division include 54 from Jammu district, 08 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 39 from Doda, 03 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 09 from Poonch, 09 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
