Every time Government of the day can not fulfill all the needs of its people particularly during man caused emergencies or natural calamities . So non governmental social and voluntary organizations dedicated to the noble cause of serving the humanity play their important responsible role in addressing essential requirements of the needy.
One such Jammu based internationally acclaimed non funded voluntary organsiation under the banner of KP Volunteers is a group of like minded dare devils which are relentlessly delivering free service to the cause of humanity. Founded by Vikram Koul and coordinated by Roshan Pandita and many others, this four year old team of more than 300 volunteers spread all across the globe came in to existence during the onset of COVID-19 pandemic. Easily accessible, KP Volunteers act instantly through digitally connected social platform after receiving a distress call for socio medical service from the needy.
The unique difference in the working of KP Volunteers is that it functions without asking for any direct financial support for its activities. Being a non funded self help group, basically it co ordinates the electronic transfer of money donated by the donor directly to the vendor only, who supplies the already identified required material to the needy beneficiary without any exchange of direct money in between, thereby not only bringing the transparency in its functioning by avoiding misuse of funds and also encourages financial digitalization programme of the Government.
Strongly committed to the cause of delivering relentless service to the humanity be it a short duration help or a long term attention, easily accessible KPV proceed after verification of facts and assessment of type along with quantum of requirement of the needy, rendering financial help to the poor , educational support to the deserving students, medical attention to the patients, blood donations to the needy, food relief or even rehabilitation. Of late, they have concentrated on arranging urgent blood donations for critical patients or in accidental cases. Its core group as a team work
Under the leadership of their President Vikram Koul instantly swing in to action by identifying the beneficiary and conveying its factual position to its supporters for voluntary addressing their requirements. Irrespective of geographic locations, caste, creed, age or financial status, KP Volunteers function without such barriers giving priority to the cause of helping service to the humanity only, due to which it has earned its credibility among the society in such a short span of their existence.
KP Volunteers also displayed their exemplary contribution during the difficult times of COVID – 19 pandemic, in which it not only arranged free medical consultations and distributed medicines but by virtue of their overseas influence managed the import of advanced medical equipments for their patients. Core team of KP Volunteers not only helped in performing last rites of COVID – 19 deaths at the risk of their lives but also shared the mental trauma of affected families during the entire period of this pandemic distress.
Finally it is our acknowledgement of their services and their great contribution to the humanity that makes the organizations like KP Volunteers to work with more zeal and vigor for the welfare of our society, which is highly needed in the present times of our comfortable existence.
