DLSA, Sindh Forest division organise plantation drive

A collaborative Plantation cum awareness drive was organised by Sindh Forest division, Ganderbal with District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) at Government College of Physical Gadoora, Ganderbal here today.
The drive was inaugurated by Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal, Mohammad Yousuf Wani. The event saw enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, legal members and forest officials. Around 200 plants were planted in the campus.
On the occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal while emphasizing on the theme of DAY OF FORESTS “Forests and Education” said that students are tomorrow's leaders and managers, and they need to be made aware of the challenges of future forest management. He stressed upon the students to plant trees and adopt them for care and nurture.
DFO Sindh Owais Mir emphasized on the idea of plantation as the best stress busting activity which has to be adopted as a way of life for betterment of mental and physical .
Principal College of Physical Education Dr Harteej Singh while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the commitment of students in greening the college campus.
Secretary District Legal Services Authority, President District Bar Association Ganderbal, Range Officer Ganderbal, faculty of college and students were also present on the occasion.
