Delegation from Chanigund call on LG Mathur

, June 11: A delegation from Chanigund in Chuli Skambu constituency from comprising Naib Sarpanch, Haji Ghulam Murtaza; Panch Assadullah and Executive Member of Youth Wing Shingo, Chanigund, Mohammad Issa, called on the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of , RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas today.

The delegation briefed about the shortage of water in their village for agricultural purposes. They requested for the installation of agricultural water pumps for lifting water from Shingo River for irrigation purposes. They raised other issues related to the development of their village, viz. creation of posts of teachers and masters at Government Primary and High Schools in Budgam, Hatu, Haral and Khunda; construction of the Government Higher Secondary School building; sanctioning of Government Degree College and maternity hospital at Chanigund; sanctioning of a school bus for the transportation of students of Badgam, Latoo and Kaksar from their villages to schools; construction of water reservoirs at Hardass village and the construction of a link road to the village; installation of mobile towers for improving mobile and telecommunication connectivity at Badgam, Latoo and Kaksar villages; issuance of Actual Line of Control (ALC) certificate to enable employed youth to avail its benefits for employment, etc.
