Two killed, 5 injured after tree falls on passenger vehicle

RAMBAN, Nov 21: Two persons were killed while other five get injured after tree falls on passenger vehicle near Banihal, here today.

According to eyewitness road widening work was in progress in the area when the incident happened.

Station House Officer (SHO) Ramsoo Muneer Khan said that that a Tavera heading towards from Anantnag in south came under the tree at Magerkote – 17 km from Banihal.

He said that the vehicle was mangled in the incident, resulting into at least two deaths and five injuries.

The injured were shifted to Ramsoo hospital for treatment. The men and machinery are on the job to evacuate the bodies from the vehicle.
