    Terrorist hideout busted in Shopian’s Keller area

    Shopian, Nov 18: Security forces on Monday uncovered a terrorist hideout in the Keller area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. The operation, carried out by a joint team of security personnel, led to the discovery of the hideout in the dense forests of Bujbrod Pehlipora.

    According to officials, the operation involved personnel from the 44 RR, 2 Rajput, 34 RR, 14 BN CRPF, and the Shopian Police. During the search, the forces recovered cooking utensils and edible items from the hideout, suggesting it had been used by militants for sustenance.

    The hideout was discovered as part of an ongoing operation in the region aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and ensuring security in the area.

    An investigation is currently underway to determine the identities of those behind the hideout and to assess whether any further militant activities were planned. The discovery highlights continued security efforts to combat militancy in Kashmir’s volatile areas. (KNO)
