Jammu, July 7: In what has come out to be a startling piece of information, a teenager was repeatedly raped on different ocassions for a little less than 24 months by her tuition teacher who kept the malfeasance going by threatening the student of publicly slandering her image.
As per police sources, a woman hailing from Dablehar lodged a complaint with police station RS Pura stating that her daughter aged around 19 years had joined private tuition at Dablehar in 2014. She was taught by Bodh Raj, son of Inder Dass of Mali Kothey, Bishnah. Bodh Raj started sexually exploiting the girl since 2014.
The girl gathered her courage and narrated the ordeal to her mother, who without any delay reported the matter to police station RS Pura. A medical examination of the girl was done and she was handed over to her family.
A case was registered under 99/16 under Section 376 RPC at RS Pura police station and a team was sent to nab the teacher. The team from RS Pura, on specific inputs conducted a raid and arrested the accused.
Teacher's investigation reveals shocking details
During investigation of the teacher, Bodh Raj, it was learned that he had in past developed physical relations with a married lady Geeta Devi of Mathapur, tehsil Bishnah. Bodh Raj, along with the married lady had murdered her husband, Vijay Kumar in August 1999.
Both of them were in jail for ten years and after getting released they started living as couple in a rental accommodation at Dablehar.
However, after about three years of getting released and living together, the lady expired in suspicious circumstances. After this Bodh Raj shifted from Dablehar taking another rented accommodation at RS Pura. At this point he started sexually exploiting the minor girls.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas with the help of sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
