Shiv Sena takes out “Mashal rally” for Jammu statehood

    Jammu Tawi: Shiv Sena (Bala Saheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit today took out a massive mashaal rally passing through the main markets of Jammu City pacing up its ‘Jammu Mange Apna Haq’ campaign that has been gaining momentum with each passing day.

    The Shiv Sainiks led by president UT J&K Manish Sahni participating in the rally carrying placards raised slogans demanding justice and separate statehood for Jammu along with the enhanced number of assembly seats.

    Manish Sahni, President UT  J&K  unit in his address said that  unending discrimination against Jammu for over seven decades is the result of weak leadership of Jammu. He said that   claims are being made to win 50 seats and form the government in Jammu and Kashmir but nothing is stated by them about the promises and rights made with the people of Jammu.  He said that result of  incompetent leadership of Jammu division is that discrimination is still continue. At the same time, the attitude of the central government has always been Kashmir-centric and this trend continues even today.  The Jammu division never got its due rights.  Sahni said in clear words that any further compromise with the rights of Jammu would not be tolerated.  Jammu is entitled to a separate state and 50 assembly seats.

    Sahni also demanded release of 10 seats in the favour of PoJK refugees out of 24 seats reserved seats.  Sahni also demanded to declare 23 September as a holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
