Change in political dispensation in Pakistan does not neccesarily means any likely change in the ground realities in our neighbouring country. Pak agencies including the Army are planning to make a solid bid for infiltrating non-Kashmiri militants into the valley for raising the level of violence.
Already 66 infiltrators have crossed into Kashmir for hiking the level of violence. Hitherto educated and uneducated Kashmiri boys have taken to militancy as they have been denied gainful employment. Now that Governor, Vohra has asked Prime Minister Modi to grant north-east pattern of Industrial sops to Jammu and Kashmir which could usher in
large investment and ensure increased jobs to the local youth.
This is also a worry to the agencies across LOC fearing that once these educated militants accepted jobs in the industrial sector the level of violence could ebb and enable the Government to put back peace on the rails.
This is the cause of motivating Pak Army to upgrade the infiltration grid. Already more than 300 militants equipped with sophisticated weapons and explosives have been brought on the
launch pads along the entire LOC and on the IB. Pakistan Army wants to escalate the level of violence which could keep alive the Kashmir issue. While all hopes are pinned on the new leadership of Pakistan to explore the avenues of peace with India, only coming time will tell how far Mr. Imran Khan as Prime Minister of Pakistan will withstand the Army's pressure in the matter of relations with its neighbors.
