    More rains, snow in next 24 hours

    Srinagar, Jan 18 (KNS): While the Valley continued to receive fresh snowfall from past couple of days, the weatherman here have predicted more light to moderate snow or rains at few places across the state in next 24 hours.

    Talking to KNS, an official in the Meteorological (MeT) department said, ‘The light to moderate rains would occur in the next 24 hours at few places across the state.”

    He said that the there is possibility of further dip in the minimum temperature. “Besides rains or snow, there will be occasional sunshine as well,” he said.

    Pertinently, the valley received snowfall from past couple of days that led to closure of traffic on Srinagar- highway as well.

    The highway was today reopened by the authorities after the roads were cleared. However, as per officials only stranded vehicles were allowed today to ply while the decision for fresh traffic will be taken as per the conditions. (KNS)
