Nine Indian boxers win their respective bouts in 2nd India Open International Boxing

Nine Indian boxers, including Mary Kom have won their respective bouts in the Second Open Boxing tournament being held in Guwahati. In her first competitive bout in the new 51 kg category, MC Mary Kom defeated Nepal's Mala Rai.

In Men's 60 kg category, Ankit Khanna defeated his Philippines opponent. But in men's 64 kg category, India's Ashish lost to his Mauritius opponent. In 69 kg, Dinesh Dagar also stormed into the pre quarter final round.

In 75 kg category, Manjeet Panghal stormed into the Pre Quater final as his opposition did not turn up to play. In women's 45 to 48 kg, India's Kalavani entered the next round. The other winners are- Monika, Nikhat and Manju Rani in their respective bouts.
