Jammu Tawi, September 28: Even after second exodus has taken place after 27 years still militants continue to be on the offensive. Reports said that most of the students have already left the valley and most of them have enrolled in some private schools, colleges, tutorials and their parents have been finding it hard for finding a suitable shelter.
In fact people, majority of them curse separatists for having ruined the career of boys and girls who were studying in schools and colleges.
Still the Education Minister is being threatened for maintaining discipline. The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant outfit on has threatened Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Naeem Akhtar “not to force people to resume normal work”.
“The present uprising in Kashmir is not against the education system but against India, which is illegally in occupation of Kashmir from past seven decades,” LeT's Kashmir chief Mehmood Shah said in a statement.
He threatened Education Minister Naeem Akhtar “of dire consequence if he continues to force people to resume normal work”.
“Akhtar should desist from forcing people to end the strike,” he warned.
The LeT chief said people of Kashmir are educated and can differentiate between good and bad. “The present struggle is not against education system but against India. If Akhtar doesn't budge, we will initiate action against him”.
Akhtar has been constantly saying that since education concerns the future of Kashmir, educational institutions must be left out from the ambit of protests and shutdowns.
Naeem Akhtar is been goading people to work so that their future is assured and is it his fault? Certainly not. His fault is that he wants work in all educational institutions to get resumed and this is not to the liking of militant outfits.(KIP)
