Jammu Tawi, August 27: Kartik Sharma international volleyball player and captain of the Indian Volleyball Boys team under-18 who secured a Bronze medal in the recently concluded 14 Asian Volleyball Championship at Tehran was given a rousing reception on his arrival at Jammu by office bearers of VOLLEYBALL Association of J&K, sports lovers, well-wishers and his friends and relatives.
Kartik son of the soil, who hails from Bagnoti village of Rajouri has brought laurels for Jammu Kashmir and has added a feather in the crown of J&K by leading the Indian volleyball team under 18 as a captain, according to Kuldeep Magotra, Chief Executive officer, VAJK/Associate Secretary, VOLLEYBALL Federation of India. In a felicitating function held at M.A.Stadium Jammu, Magotra highlighted the head & heart qualities of Kartik with special reference to his managerial skills and splendid performance as a captain of Indian Volleyball Team.
Magotra also disclosed by securing Bronze Medal Indian Volleyball team has Qualified for World VOLLEYBALL Championship under 19 now, Kartik is all set to lead this team as well.
Mannat Choudhary who also played for India in the VOLLEYBALL game recently at Thailand from R S Pura was another star attraction on the occasion.
