Ahmedabad, Mar 16: IndiGo and Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) have announced a strategic partnership allowing IndiGo BluChip members to earn rewards on duty-free shopping across AAHL-managed airports. Members can now earn five IndiGo BluChips for every Rs 100 spent on duty-free products pre-booked via the Adani platform.
Travellers can browse, reserve, and pay for products online before departure and collect them conveniently at the airport. Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo, said the collaboration enhances the loyalty program by offering meaningful rewards beyond flights.
Suchit Bansal, CEO – Non-Aero, AAHL, added that the partnership combines India’s largest airline with the country’s largest private airport operator to provide a connected and rewarding travel retail experience through digital discovery, pre-order convenience, and seamless collection.
BluChip earnings are credited within 24–48 hours of purchase when customers link their membership IDs via a dedicated portal. Duty-free stores under the program currently operate at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Lucknow airports, with upcoming expansions at Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport in Guwahati and Navi Mumbai International Airport.
IndiGo operates over 2,000 daily flights connecting 140+ destinations globally, while AAHL manages eight airports, including the new Navi Mumbai International Airport, handling hundreds of millions of passengers annually. The partnership aims to strengthen the digital travel ecosystem, offering passengers a more integrated journey across bookings, travel, and airport services. (Agencies)
