Indian men’s hockey team beat Japan in Olympic Test Event; to face New Zealand in summit clash

Indian men's hockey team today booked a summit clash berth in the Olympic Test Event being held in Tokyo by trouncing hosts Japan. Striker Mandeep Singh struck a fine hat-trick to help the Indian team beat Japan 6-3.

Mandeep hit the target in the 9th, 29th and 30th minutes while Nilakanta Sharma, Nilam Sanjeep Xess and Gurjant Singh were scored for in 3rd, 7th and 41st minutes. From the Japan side, Kentaro Fukuda, Kenta Tanaka and Kazuma Murata scored the goals. India will face New Zealand in the summit clash tomorrow.
