IIM shall serve as hub, offer : Balbir

Tawi, Aug 26:  Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) and Jammu & Higher Education Department for establishment of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Jammu shows that Narendra Modi government is firm on fulfilling its commitments for J&K state, said BJP State Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan.

The present government at the Centre is giving due preference to Jammu region in the matters of its development; establishment of academic, technical and medical institutions, granting special grant for the infrastructure and other amenities. The sanctioning of AIIMS, IIT, IIM and Institute of Mass Communication speak of the commitment of the government at the centre and that in the state towards treating Jammu equal.

In all, the IIM will serve the twin purpose of quality education and at the same time provide jobs to many deserving youth, BJP leader said.
