Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued orders to the oil companies for immediate storage of LPG cylinders in the Kashmir Valley for two months. After this order many speculations have started. In view of this, the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in Kashmir issued a statement saying that some people are spreading rumors about LPG storage.
The order issued is to deal with the situations arising out of the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway during the monsoon. Efforts are made avoid crisis of essential commodities under these circumstances.
National Conference (NC) Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had questioned the justification for such an order. NC leader Omar Abdullah had also mentioned in his tweet that the Ganderbal district police urged the district administration to provide buildings to educational institutions and the government should clarify the situation because it is causing panic in people.
According to this order issued on Saturday (June 27) by the director of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in Kashmir, on 23 June, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Murmu has directed in a meeting that the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway The landslide is often closed, so there should be adequate storage of LPG, which can last up to two months. So that the common people do not have any problem.
