Dr. Banarsi gets Best Scientist Award

Jammu Tawi: Dr.Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Sr. Scientist &Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Best Scientist Award' in the Global Research & Development Awards-2021 category. The coveted award has been conferred to the budding scientist in recognisation of his outstanding achievements and remarkable contributions in the agricultural and allied sectors. The Global Research & Development Awards-21 aim to identify the novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Research & Development and honour the academicians, scientists and researchers for their commendable contributions in their respective fields. The research panel considered Dr.Banarsi  for the prestigious Best Scientist Award  on the basis of his research papers published in reputed journals for the welfare of the farming community. Dr.Banarsi was the Gold Medalist in M.Sc. and is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. He has developed an Exponential Model of Communication which is unique in itself to determine the communication behaviour of the farmers and has been recognized at national and international level.
