DC takes stock of post-snowfall situation

Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today visited Kishtwar town and adjoining areas to monitor the status of essential services and snow clearance operations. During his tour, he visited district hospital, bus stand, Dak Bunglow, Giri nagar and other adjoining areas of Kishtwar town. At district hospital, he met patients and enquired about the well-being. He directed concerned officers to ensure proper heating system in hospitals as well as the availability of sufficient medicines. He directed to keep the emergency section fully equipped and ready to meet any situation due to heavy snowfall.
He also met public deputation and listened to their issues and on spot directions were passed to concerned officers for prompt redressal.
DC impressed upon the officers to expedite restoration of power supply, inter and intra district road connectivity including highways, drinking water supply, traffic management, operationalization of ensuring adequate stock of essential food items, LPG and Kerosene oil etc.
