DC Jammu orders demarcation of JDA land within 15 days

Deputy Commissioner Sushma Chauhan today reviewed the progress of demarcation of Jammu Development Authority land so far and handed over to JDA in a meeting with officers of Revenue department.
The concerned officers apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the present status of demarcation of JDA land and land retrieved so far in the district.
DC directed the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars of Revenue Department to achieve the target of complete demarcation within 15 days. She asked the Tehsildars to handover the demarcated land to JDA along with revenue papers.
Sushma Chauhan also reviewed the progress on writing of Jamabandis in all Tehsils of Jammu District. She directed the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars to achieve the target by 26 February, 2020.
While taking review of preparation of Jamabandis, the DC directed the Revenue officers to expedite the process for timely completion of this vital task.
DC Stressed upon that the demarcation and writing of Jamabandis should be given utmost importance and the targets assigned to them to be completed in a time bound manner.
Later, she also reviewed progress regarding providing of Financial Assistance to DPs of 1965 and 1971 and directed SDMs, Tehsildar to complete all the pending cases so that beneficiaries would be provided financial Assistance accordingly.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Tahir Firdous, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vijay Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
