Current poll a battleground of ideologies: Farooq

    Date:

Srinagar, Sep 22: Former and Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said the current Assembly election is a battleground of ideologies with the divisive Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its supporters on one side and his Conference- Congress Alliance on the other.

Addressing an election rally, Farooq cautioned people regarding the grave repercussions of division of votes in the upcoming second phase of elections. He emphasized the critical importance of unity and strategic voting to ensure the success of the party's agenda.

Voting for the second phase will take place on September 25 for 26 Assembly seats across Jammu and Kashmir.

The National Conference president said, “It is imperative that the people not only defeat the BJP but also reject any candidate who aims to divide votes, as the repercussions of such actions are still being felt from the 2014 elections.”

“The fate of Kashmir hangs in the balance and it is imperative that every vote counts towards a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir,” Farooq said during a rally in Srinagar on Sunday.
