Srinagar: Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, speaking at the Kashmir University Alumni Meet 2025, encouraged the institution to leverage its rich alumni base to guide and inspire students.
“I am confident the university will continue producing individuals who contribute to national and regional progress,” he said. He called Kashmir a “paradise” and lauded its intellectual and cultural contributions.
CJI Gavai highlighted the contributions of alumni across judiciary, politics, medicine, and other fields. He also recalled his personal association with former CM Ghulam Nabi Azad and expressed happiness in felicitating him, along with MP Mian Altaf and other alumni.
Seven Supreme Court judges, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, CM Omar Abdullah, and other dignitaries also attended the meet.
