Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah praised the University of Kashmir’s academic excellence at the Mega Alumni Meet-2025, stating it has matched national benchmarks in research and alumni achievements.
Speaking to a distinguished gathering including the CJI, Supreme Court judges, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, and LG Manoj Sinha, he said: “A university’s worth lies in its research and the success of its alumni—and KU stands tall on both fronts.”
He noted the accomplishments of KU alumni in law, governance, medicine, and business, urging them to stay engaged with the university. “If you occasionally give back through mentorship and support, it will benefit current and future students,” he said.
Omar also extended congratulations to all alumni felicitated during the event.
