Civil Society, Traders, Hoteliers welcome Amarnath yatris

Srinagar, Jun 30 : Civil Society, Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Hoteliers Club and Kashmir traders on Thursday welcomed the yatris and assured full support to the government for its success.

In this regard, the Civil Society members including traders and hoteliers participated in the meeting with Lieutenant Governor at SKICC on 29th June where the LG administration was assured of full support.

The meeting was also attended by Waqf Board Chairman Dr Darakhsha Andrabi, Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, Divisional Commissioner, Musthtaq Ahmad Chaya of Hoteliers Club, Tariq Rashid Ghani President CCIK, Bashir Ahmed from Kashmir Traders Forum, PHD Chamber members besides prominent members from Civil Society.

Lieutenant Governor expressed optimism that Kashmir's age-old hospitality only can help in smooth conduct of the yatra.

He said even though all arrangements were put in place, the local support has been overwhelming.

Chaya said yatries don't need security as the biggest security for them are the locals who have for centuries proved all support to the yatris.

Darakhsha Andrabi said Kashmiris treat all the religious festivals and shrines with high esteem and help in making the festivals and religious occasions a grand success.

Tariq Rashid Ghani on behalf of traders and hoteliers assured full support to the local administration for the grand success of the yatra.
