“The acrimonious blame game between the NC and PDP is aimed at politicising terrorism by both the parties. By eulogising Manan Wani both parties are making a desperate attempt to win back their lost political space in the quagmire of Kashmiri politics. By vying with each other to please the separatist camp, both the Kashmir-centric parties are trying to woo the Kashmiri youth and regain lost ground,” said Brigadier Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of BJP in a press statement released today.In order to defend the allegations made against Mehbooba Mufti by Omar Abdullah, a senior PDP leader and former parliamentarian has tried to portray the people friendly measures announced by the Central Government leading to temporary cessation of operations with the hope of restoring peace in the Valley as exclusive achievements of Mehbooba Mufti. The fact is that Mehbooba was playing a double-game which was realised by the Home Ministry. The credit goes to BJP, which lost no moment in pulling out from the government in national interest, stated Brig Gupta.Reacting to Mehbooba's glorification of terrorist Manan Wani as a “victim of relentless violence in Kashmir,” the spokesperson reminded Mehbooba that, “Manan Wani was perpetrator of violence in Kashmir. He was responsible for senseless killings of fellow innocent Kashmiris. The law of nature is that those who perpetrate violence are one day consumed by violence itself. Violence unleashed by terrorists has to end to terminate the ‘cycle of relentless violence'. Rather than politicising terrorism, both the PDP and NC must work towards elimination of terrorism in the best interest of the Kashmiri Awam.”
