BCC Chanderkote lifts Banihal Cricket League-2022 Trophy

BCC Chanderkote, won the final match of the Banihal League (BCL) talent hunt 2022, trophy by defeating Islamia Cricket
Club, Banihal, and lifted the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 55000.
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam was the Chief guest at the Final Match and Prize distribution Function, while
DDC, Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday; SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abbas Bhat; SDPO Banihal, Nisar Khojal; Principal HMSS, Banihal, AR Giri;
ZEPO Banihal, Abdul Majeed; Sarpanch Mohammad Alyas Wani and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
As many as 32 teams from different parts of the district Ramban participated in the Cricket League, talent hunt 2022 tournament
which was organized by the local social workers namely Farooq Ahmad, Mukhtar Nabi, and Dilawar Nabi.
TheFinal Match was witnessed by a huge crowd at HSS boys Banihal. The BCC Chanderkote scored 190 and ICC Banihal, while
chasing the target scored just 173 runs in 20 overs. BCC Chanderkoot won by 17 runs.
Winner Trophies and cash prize of Rs 55,000 and a trophy and Rs. 20,000 cash was presented to winner and runner up teams
by the Deputy Commissioner
The best batsman prize of Rs 2000 was given to Adil Shareef and the Best blower prize of Rs. 2000 went to Mushtaq Naik,
while Binny bagged the best player award of Rs 5000.
Talking to the media, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Ramban district has adequate talent in every and the District
Administration, Ramban is trying its best to hone it for the UT and the country. He lauded the role of the Organizing Committee for
conducting such a big cricket tournament with full discipline.
The DC said that with the help of the sports council several outdoor and indoor sports facilities are
coming up in Banihal and other parts of the district Ramban. “The process for construction of a

cricket ground at Nawan Dugga Chapnari is also in process” he informed. He said Rs 20 lakh will be
sanctioned from district Youth Services and Sports for the fencing and development of the playfield
of HSS boys Banihal.
