Jammu gets maiden Convention Centre

Tawi, June 03: The state of the Convention Centre inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti in Jammu today is the first of its kind facility in the region.

The palatial Convention Centre, constructed by Jammu and Projects Construction Corporation, is having a built up area of 50000 square feet with a basement of 8000 sft. It has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 450 persons which is fitted with latest lighting and audio visual equipment. It has a conference hall with seating capacity of 85 persons and two seminar rooms with seating capacity of 40 persons each.

The Convention Centre has an Exhibition area of 2800 sft, dining hall with capacity of 120 persons and VIP lounge with capacity of 50 persons.

The Chief Minister also gave away mementos to the officers and non-officials who have been instrumental in the construction of the Convention Centre.
