Jammu Tawi: Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing Jammu, Namrta Sharma has demanded roll back the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG.
Namrta was addressing a programme which was organised at the party office to felicitate the women leaders who were recently appointed in Women Wing.
“The roll back of prices of petrol, diesel and LPG will help in controlling the sudden price rise of essential commodities which have overburdened the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Namrta.
Namrta further said that the Govt should take immediate steps for the welfare of the people and to control the price rise as well as to punish the black marketers.
The Apni Party will not keep silent over the injustice with the people and we will keep highlighting their suffering, said Namrta and added that “Other political parties have remained a mute spectator like they were in the past. Apni Party is the only political party which comes out in public and highlights the issues of public concern for their early redressal,” said Namrta.
Meanwhile, Namrta advocated empowerment of women in the society especially in rural areas.
Besides, provincial women wing Vice President Pavneet Kour said “Women empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir is the need of the hour given the rise in atrocities against women.”
Provincial Women wing Vice President Jyoti Vaid said the rising prices of basic amenities are an attack on the common women and are breaking the backs of common people.
