Jammu Tawi, Dec 23: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported three deaths and 132 fresh positive cases of Covid-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,319.
With three more deaths, one each from Srinagar, Budgam and Bandipora, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,518 and 132 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 340,293.
Of the exact number of 340,293 cases, 214,345 are from Kashmir division and 125,948 from Jammu division.
Among 132 new cases, 105 belong to Kashmir division while as 27 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 214,345 including 211,048 recoveries and 2,322 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,948 including 123,408 recoveries and 2,196 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,319 including 975 from Kashmir division and 344 from Jammu division.
With 118 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 334,456 which is 98.28 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 40 from Srinagar, 34 from Baramulla, 04 from Budgam, 07 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 05 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 27 from Jammu division include 23 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
