Tawi, Jan 17: Jammu and Government has not issued permanent resident certificate to any West Pakistan refugees (WPRs) and no West Pakistan Refugee won't get this permanent resident certificate in future also.

Announcing the decision Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari told the agitating Conference MLA and former Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar that Government has not issued any permanent resident certificate to any West Pakistan Refugee in any part of the State and won't issue such a certificate to any West Pakistan Refugee in future also.

The Minister was replying the cut motion moved by National Conference MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar who displayed in the house a communication of the home ministry addressed to Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu for issuance of domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees. Dissatisfied with the assurance given by the Minister the NC members walked out in protest from the house.
