Jammu Tawi, June 24: 92.7 BIG FM has declared the results of the latest category of the ongoing grand awards which are meant to be ‘For the City, By the City'- Big Jammu Pride Awards. This month's categories were Best Multiplex & Best Theatre Auditorium of Jammu and after a tough competition between other Multiplexes & Theatre Auditoriums the awards were bagged by Wave Cinemas & Abhinav Theatre respectively.
92.7 BIG FM has been instrumental in highlighting the Prides of Jammu by way of promoting them through various awards and especially Big Jammu Pride Awards are all about those things of Jammu that really make us feel proud of our city.
The category for the month of June was Best Theatre Auditorium & Multiplexes in which people were first asked to nominate their favorite Multiplexes and in the second fortnight the sub-category was Theatre Auditorium and on the basis of public voting (which carried 70% weightage) and Jury members' benchmarks (which was given 30% weightage) Top 4 Multiplexes & Theatre Auditorium were chosen. People were then asked to vote for their favorite one to make it Jammu's No 1. Also the jury members- Regional Director ICCR Padamashree Balwant Thakur, Veteran Theatre Director & Playwright Deepak Kumar and Film Director Raahul Sharma rated all four of them as per their expertise. Public voting was done through whatsapp and On-air Calls and the cumulative results were in favour of Wave Cinemas & Abhinav Theatre.
An award function was organized in the premises of BIG FM at Narwal in which Additional Secretary Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn & GM Wave Mall Ranjeet Singh Randhawa were felicitated by Programming Head 92.7 BIG FM Vikrant Sharma and Jury members.
Vikrant Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Jury members and all the finalists who really took this challenge in a healthy way.
Also RJ Sarang interacted with the winners and congratulated them.
