State government has cleared proposal for establishment of Technology Centre and Biotechnology Park in Jammu division. The chief secretary was chairing the 41st meeting of the APCC, in which various proposals received by State Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) for setting up new industrial units, an official statement issued here said.
SIDCO's Apex Project Clearance Committee headed by Chief Secretary BR Sharma Thursday cleared proposal for establishment of Technology Centre and Biotechnology Park in Jammu division.
The apex committee accorded approval to the establishment of proposed Technology Centre at Industrial Growth Centre, Samba-Phase III and Biotechnology Park at Industrial Estate Ghatti, Kathua. Both the proposals have already received nod from the State Cabinet.
Chief Secretary underscored the need for SIDCO to follow standard industrial norms for optimum utilization of available land at industrial centres in the State. The Apex Committee called for revisiting the land allotment policy to encourage optimum utilization of land by unit holders.
Financial Commissioner, Agriculture Production Department, Promod Jain, Administrative Secretaries of PDD, Finance, I&C and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
