IS supporter sent to judicial custody till March 10

JAIPUR: A suspected supporter of Islamic State (IS), Mohammad Iqbal was today sent to judicial custody till March 10 by a court here.

 

He was brought here on from Chennai for interrogation by the Rajasthan Police's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on production warrant on February 13 and sent to police custody.

 

Iqbal was today produced in the court which sent him to judicial custody till March 10, officials said.

 

It is alleged that Iqbal was touch with another operative of the terror outfit, Jameel Ahmed who was arrested by the ATS from Sikar in November last and transferred funds for the IS.

 

Iqbal alias Travel Haq had got the money transferred in through a money-transfer company from China, and through hawala from India to Dubai, where Ahmed worked. (AGENCIES)
