Srinagar, October 8:  A soldier was injured on Saturday morning as the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and . Police said the Pakistan Army resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing in Mendhar sector of the LoC.

“Pakistan shelling started at 5 am and continued till 6.30 am Indian Army retaliated effectively using same calibre weapons,” the police said.
