Sendhil Ramamurthy opens up about his role in Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi starrer ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar'
Hollywood actor Sendhil Ramamurthy makes his return to Bollywood cinema after over two decades with the new romantic drama film ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar' starring acclaimed actors Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. In an interview with this publication, Ramamurthy discusses playing the character of a globe-trotting photographer who catches Vidya Balan's character's eye.
The 50-year old actor shares that he was excited to take on the challenge of portraying his character through subtle gestures and expressions rather than dialogue. Ramamurthy found the script intriguing as it presented multifaceted characters and dealt with the complex themes of marriage and infidelity in a non-judgmental manner without villainizing any one individual involved.
Having starred in notable projects like American drama series ‘Heroes' and Netflix comedy series ‘Never Have I Ever', Ramamurthy was eager to act in an Indian film again. However, balancing work commitments with parenting duties meant longer filming projects kept him away from home for extended periods. Now with his children grown up, the actor is more open to working in Bollywood again if the right opportunity arises.
Ramamurthy cites “good genetics” for his youthful appearance at 50 but maintains a healthy lifestyle. Fans can catch his charming performance as the “sexy photographer” vying for Vidya Balan's attention in ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar' now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
