Jammu Tawi: A cordon and search operation was launched by Security forces after the reports of suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation began on Wednesday after intelligence suggested the presence of individuals, believed to be terrorists, in the area. Troops from the Rashtriya Rifles, supported by police personnel, have cordoned off Behari Rakh forest and nearby villages in the Mendhar sector. The search operation has also extended to Kasblari Brela, Hundai Gali, and surrounding areas in the Mankote region.
Officials stated that, as of now, there has been no contact with the suspected individuals. The operation is ongoing as security forces continue to investigate and ensure the safety of the region.
