Protesters ignore Army Chief’s warning

Date:

, February 19  (KIP):-with support from the congress and the
Conference people have ignored the Army Chief's warning  to
those trying to disturb attention of security forces during
encounters.

Since the National Conference and the Congress berated the Army
Chief for having issued a politically motivated statement people in
have shown no respect for the Army Chief's warning. This was
witnessed during the encounter between militants and security forces
the other day in Pulwama district where people hurled stones at the
security forces while they engaged in flushing out militants.

In fact it has become a fashion for people in Kashmir to stage
protest demonstrations whenever security forces cordoned off area for
eliminating militants. This would distract the attention of security
forces and in such operation two militants had escaped .

The Army Chief had warned those who will unfurl Pak or ISIS
flags or hurl stones at the security forces will be dealt with a heavy
hand.

Official circles said that people would have not ignored  Army
chief's warning had not the opposition political leaders questioned
the  Bipin Rawat's warning. These circles suggested to the political
leaders to abstain from criticizing the Army Chief's warning  because
that was meant to save precious lives.(KIP)
