Political Parties condemn Cop’s killing

Srinagar, Jun 23 :  Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday condemned the killing of a cop, who was shot near his home in Nowgam.

Dr Farooq in his condolence message said, “I condemn the killing of the cop in unequivocal terms. The killing is a grim reminder of the jinxed fate of our region. There is no place for such acts in today's . I express my sympathies with the bereaved and pray for peace to departed.”

Condemning the attack, party vice president Omar Abdullah said such attacks should be condemned without any reservation. “The killing of a cop is heart wrenching. I mince no words in my condemnation of the outrageous bloodshed. The violence in all its forms and manifestations constitutes the most serious threat to the dignity of human life and universal peace. I express my deepest sympathies with his family and pray for peace to the departed soul,” he said.

Party's General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MPs Hasnain Masoodi, Muhammad Akbar Lone, Ali Mohammad Dar, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have condemned the killing in unequivocal terms and expressed heartfelt sympathies with the families of the victims.

CPI (M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami Wednesday condemned the killing of police inspector Parvez Ahmad Dar in Nowgam area of Srinagar and said that violence in any form is condemned.

He termed the incident as unfortunate and said that there is an urgent need to put an end to these killings.

The CPI (M) leader expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family.

and Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday condemned the killing of JKP Inspector in Bagati Kanipora area of Budgam District, terming the incident as inhuman and mindless act.

JKPCC also demanded that the perpetrators of the heinous crime must be identified for exemplary punishment.

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has strongly condemned the killing of JKP Inspector Pervez Ahmad Dar and expressed anguish over the loss of precious life.

Congress party feels disappointed over this brutal & mindless act and urged the government to ensure exemplary punishment to killers of slain JKP Inspector. The party expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, and conveyed heartfelt condolences to family and friends of slain Pervez Ahmad Dar and prayed for his eternal peace.

The killings in any form are highly condemnable and unacceptable in a civilized society, must be condemned by every section of the people, JKPCC added and urged the authorities to take effective measures to contain such inhuman and mindless attacks, JKPCC added.
