A meeting of the constituent political parties of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has begun at the Jammu residence of National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, a day after the J&K Delimitation Commission proposed six additional seats in the Jammu region and one in the Kashmir valley.
According to news agency KNO, former chief minister and PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti and some other leaders of the PAGD are reportedly part of the meeting.
The meeting has started at a crucial time when delimitation commission presented its draft report in which it proposed six additional assembly seats for Jammu region and one for Kashmir while reserving 16 constituencies for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
The recommendations have drawn sharp criticism from all political parties in the valley.
