Mobocracy Not Acceptable

Date:

Omkar Dattatray

Mobocracy is unacceptable in the largest democracy of the which has the distinction of being. Therefore in our democracy mobocracy and violence in any form has no place at all and violence cannot be justified on any pretext whatsoever more so when it is resorted to against a legislation which is in the interest of the nation and passed by both houses of the parliament .In a democratic setup all problems and controversies can be solved by discussion and negotiations and therefore violence is against the spirit and very essence of democracy as it is the government of the people and works for the betterment of and in the interest of the electorate.  And the rulers remain in power so long as they enjoy the confidence of the people and so the government works for the people. Democracy is a superior form of government and it works in the interest of the people. The violence and mobocracy is alien to a democracy and the political parties and the people should work in the interest of the democracy and uphold the democratic values .The bane of a modern democracy is that the political parties do not appreciate and support the good works of the government but they remain in the lookout for cornering the government even for the good deeds and this is the irony. The violent protests and demonstrations as well as the agitations on the much needed CAA is very unfortunate and unacceptable. The violence against the CAA in various parts of the country is not the peoples agitation but is instigated by the countries opposition after they failed to obstruct the passage of the CAB in parliament .It is the congress and other so called secularists who are fueling the violence and unrest in different parts of the country. Protests and difference of opinion is the very basic principle of a democracy but the way violent protests and mob violence is taking place id painful and very sad and should not have happened .India is a secular democracy where there is no discrimination on the basis of faith and so divisive has no place in it. It is very unfortunate that the opposition parties are inciting the muslims of the country on the name of CAA and NRC while the fact is that the CAA does not mention the word Muslim even once and it is not against the Muslims of the country who are genuine and dignified citizens. The government is committed to the exercise of NRC but till date even the draft of the NRC is not prepared but the opposition parties are instigating Muslims of the country against these acts. The protects are turning violent and the protesters have indulged in the burning of the government buses and private cars and two wheelers and government buildings and police posts. The protesters have indulged in stone throwing on the security forces. The violence and lawlessness has started from northeast and has now a pan India scale thanks to the fueling of the violence by the congress, left parties, SP, TMC, AAP, BSP and other Muslim organizations. The opposition parties are spreading false information and rumors and are creating fear and doubt in the minorities for nothing but only for the sake of vote bank politics. The Muslims of the country should not come in the false tricks of the selfish politicians and should see reason and not indulge in violence. Unfortunately the mob violence and unwarranted protests have engulfed the whole of India and has consumed 18 precious lives and caused injury to many policemen and the civilians. It is so bad that the rowdy elements have indulged in violence and vandalized government and private properties which are against the spirit of the democracy. The people are taking democracy as a license to spread violence and damage government and private properties. Those who indulge in damaging properties should be identified and they should not be allowed to take law into their hands pay for the damages. Government should be tough with the peace violators and they should be booked under the law of the land and they should not be allowed to take law into their hands and the rule of law should be maintained at all costs. It is very unfortunate that democracy is becoming mobocracy and is turned into doomocracy thanks to the fueling of the violence by the opposition parties. The need of the hour is to deal with the law violators' sternly and maintain peace and harmony in the country. The supremacy of the law must be maintained and those indulging in violence should be brought to book and mobocracy should not be allowed to gain an upper hand. It is the congress and urban nexalites who are instigating the muslims of the country on the most important piece of legislation and the people of the country should see their cunning tricks and desist from the violence and vandalism.
